Did you hear about SAMSUNG PAYS UP A WHOOPING $1 BILLION TO APPLE. Well read it to get in on all the juicy details of this biggest intellectual property rights lawsuit ever to hit the world.
Well..while Samsung is planning on fighting the jury’s decision in the case of Samsung vs. Apple, Google has also put their foot in on this ‘Battle Royale.’ We all know that this court ruling means, there will be limited access to all you people out there for Android devices…and this just not hurts you, but also hurts all the advertisers (Google being one of them) and sellers.
So Google has also released a statement saying that:
“The court of appeals will review both infringement and the validity of the patent claims. Most of these don’t relate to the core Android operating system, and several are being re-examined by the US Patent Office. The mobile industry is moving fast and all players – including newcomers – are building upon ideas that have been around for decades. We work with our partners to give consumers innovative and affordable products, and we don’t want anything to limit that.”
Rumor also has it that this court settlement is going to encourage handset makers towards installing their rival Windows Phone‘s systems.
On the Apple front, the word is out that this software company is going to demand a ban on the 17 phones that are the cause of this lawsuit. This includes earlier versions of the great Galaxy S3. Apple is also involved in big time lawsuits against similar such software makers, which are HTC and Motorola (owned by Google)… Yup Yup, now you’re getting it, dear.
